From October 2016 to May 2018, I worked as the Communications Specialist for Nevada GEAR UP. I am responsible for posting content for a cohort of Nevadan high schoolers who are part of the GEAR UP program — read about it here.
During my time at GEAR UP, I was in charge of a ton of other projects. Some of my responsibilities included creating a monthly digest, writing press releases, creating visual elements for internal and external use, etc.
I used different programs like Hootsuite, Constant Contact and Canva for communications efforts. I also used WordPress for content management.
